St Hilda’s is a small and welcoming family orientated school with a diverse intake of pupils from different religions and cultural backgrounds. We focus on children ‘learning through love’. Each child is recognised as a unique individual and we celebrate the diverse community that we serve. St Hilda’s holds a range of events to welcome and appreciate the community, build community spirit and facilitate successful integration in the local area.
We aim for all learners to fulfil their potential and make good progress across the curriculum. The school’s focus on curriculum development has been carefully designed to ensure a broad and balanced coverage and pupil progression. Whilst pupil learning is developed through acquiring the appropriate knowledge, skills and understanding, we believe that memorable experiences, trips and visits gender a desire to learn new things and gain knowledge.
‘The Christian vision permeates every aspect of the school’s daily life. It ensures that everyone grows and flourishes in an inclusive and caring environment.’ SIAMS 2019.
The school is vibrant and welcoming… The behaviour of pupils is a real strength.’ Ofsted 2018.
