Building on the successes of the Teach Bolton programme, from September 2021 we are excited to be delivering School Direct PGCE QTS route to trainee teachers from our Teach Merseyside campus.  School-based, you will train in local schools gaining valuable practical experience from Day One.

We have been involved in School Direct school-based teacher training with the University of Cumbria from its very first year and we are proud to celebrate a 100% employment record for Teach Bolton students completing the School Direct Programme. For us, this is what School Direct is all about.

You will build up teaching contacts throughout the year and form good impressions amongst your peers in readiness for that all important job interview, ready to secure your first teaching post as a Newly Qualified Teacher.

School Direct is a local initial teacher training model for local people. It offers a flexible alternative to a further year’s study away from home. Delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria, the training comes to you, with all lectures and training taking place locally.
